Hugo de Chaire is a modern classical composer for Film and Creative Media combining electronic and traditional music techniques for a contemporary cinematic audience.

A percussionist from the age of six, Hugo played drums in bands and orchestras, going on to study music and composition privately in the UK, and music production at Kingston University London, from where he graduated in 2002. He went on to study film music composition with Emmy-award winning Hollywood composer Hummie Mann in Seattle in 2007, followed by working as assistant to acclaimed Film composer Joey Newman in Los Angeles, before setting up his own London studio in 2008.

Hugo has composed and orchestrated music in both the UK and USA for Film, Radio and Television productions and has written the title music for Classic FM UK (over 120 separate cues), NDR Hamburg (theme tunes), Univision TV USA (news themes) and many others.

In Television he has worked with writer and director Julian Fellowes, composed for top music production companies in the UK and Los Angeles (Wise Buddah, Grooveworx) and worked on television commercials in the UK, Europe and the USA.

Hugo’s compositions contributed to winning the following music awards and achievements: Arqiva Award “Station Of The Year” 2011 for Classic FM, Sony Award 2005 for Magic Radio, Platinum selling Album for the pop group G4 in 2005, achieving No.1 position in the UK album charts.
